I am dedicated to helping people overcome personal challenges, establish healthy balance and achieve lasting change through mindfulness-based approaches. These practices are very helpful for clients faced with issues such as anxiety, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress symptoms, depression, relationship/family issues, stress-related physical problems and life transitions. I have provided counseling services for over 35 years to children, teens, and adults and customize therapy to meet your specific needs and goals. To that end I have trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques, in the belief that no one size fits all.
Approaches that I teach and support in psychotherapy include mindful awareness of present moment experience of thoughts, sensations and emotions. I work with individuals of all ages and family systems experiencing change. Additionally, I teach stress-reduction strategies, effective relationship tools and cognitive skills for working with negative thoughts.
